Argentina
North-western Area:
With
a sub-tropical climate, the main production consists of any type
of beans, soybean, sugarcane, and fruits. The lemons of Tucumán
are
internationally well known and the livestock activities have just
started with a great potential. |
Cuyo Area:
This is the vine-growing zone par excellence. The Malbec of Mendoza
is well
known, even though the production includes all types of varietals.
Importance must also be given to the production of fruits and vegetables
for
the supply of the MERCOSUR and the Domestic Market. |
Humid
Pampa:
This
is probably the most fertile area in the whole planet. All types of
cereal are together with the best herds of Angus and Hereford which
have
made Argentine beef a “Premium” product. |
Patagonian Area:
Apples and pears are exported to the whole world from the fertile
valley of Río Negro.
New vineyards have produced selected types of wines very much appreciated
by oenologists and consumers. |
